The swell was up but for very experienced surfers only, so, when that’s the case and you need a bit of excitement what do you do?
You find all the red plastic you can get your hands on and set up one big-ass soapy slide to get your fix. Ha, this looked like so much fun, a lot of the crowd were ready to join in.
It’s good to see the lifesavers are still on patrol doing their bit. Actually, we saw more lifesavers out today then ever before, so hats off to them for being ever vigilant and ready.
11 Pictures of the Beautiful Burleigh. Warm water, nice little righties, just what is needed for the lead up to Chrissy.
Looking at the Hot Air Balloons and wondering just how nice the Gold Coast would have looked from up there…. on a day like today quite spectacular I imagine.
Surf wise, looks like it is going to be a little in the smaller range for a few days but Santa might deliver a few sets for us… Hopefully along with a new stick!
Enjoy.

Subway. Eat Fresh, Surf hard!
Duranbah was looking above average today, with an increase in swell and, before the Southerlies picked up, there was enough to give the locals some good size, fun waves. Here you can see our pick of today, nice carves, air attempt and, laying flat out on the sand, a good size jelly catching a few rays.
Did you know these things can grow to about 45cm?
They are not dangerous and the sting doesn’t really hurt if you hit them while out, mostly an annoyance really causing some itching. If you are hit by one, warm water will help to alleviate this. It has been a very big bloom this year and according to research, there may not be another this big for 10 or so years.
