Unpredictable weather hitting the coast today. A nice sunny morning kicked us off but slowly deteriorated and threatened rain for the latter part of the day. These images were taken at Burleigh at lunch-time and as you can see there was not very much happening. A few surfers struggled out in the conditions but there wasn’t much… oh well, still beats working.

Don’t forget the code when you hit the water.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Not much doin’ today, so just a quick pic….The Goldcoast became a bit of a lay day as the day moved on with small messy little waves rolling through. Not the nicest weather-wise either with a fair amount of cloud and rain periods and scouring the scene. The beauro are even calling storms for the rest of the week, don’t know about that, but also looks like the swell might pick up a bit later in the week with some southerlies forecast.

 

 

Upside, inverted, turn over or switch.  Getting the board inverted looks cool. Here are the remainder of images from the week, some from Burleigh and some from Dbah. Unfortunately looks like the surf might die off for a couple of days so hope you were out and enjoyed   the recent swell. Lets keep our fingers crossed that it picks up again sometime pretty soon… have a good weekend anyways.

 

 

 

 

 

Looks like the wind might be easing back over the next few days and hopefully temperatures warm up a little again before winter really kicks in. The recent southerlies brought a chill right up the East Coast with a lot of guys dragging the wetties out for the first time. These pics were taken before the chill and while the waves were relatively clean and clear on Sunday morning with the sun shining, showcasing some of the action at Dbah.

 

 

 

Always good to see other ways of tackling the waves. Some good control on a ski shown here as well as some other shots taken over the weekend.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Hand down, trawler, debris and swimming prohibited. The amount of debris washed onto the sand at Duranbah is quite incredible. See the size of the “tree” below, next to the booger? Wouldn’t want to hit that. Dangerous swimming conditions too, but the waves were a-pumpin’ so…nuff said. Always a good spot to be.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

The Easter Bunny delivered an Easter basket full of waves for the Gold coast with surfers reveling in the good conditions all over the place. Nice waves, good weather and a long weekend….gotta be happy with that.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

The full moon rose the other night over Burleigh and was spectacular. Unfortunately these photos were taken a little too late as I didn’t have the camera when the moon peaked on the horizon. By the time it took to grab one the Moon had risen over Meesh’s and Burleigh hill, still the moon was incredible and these pictures do an injustice to how beautiful it actually was but I think the lights of Meesh’s and also Surfers still look quite nice.
