The weekend had Northerly winds and average surf for the most part. Some sets rolled through every now and again that offered up a ride but it was not a weekend to write home about. Moving forward, we have a week of similar conditions, however the wind will slowly shift to the East then come weekend, the all important Easter Long Weekend… well at this point, who knows??? Just hope you guys all have a good one.

Good Morning,
Welcome to another overcast day. More rain expected today believe it or not. There may even be rain for the next week or more, not sure how many days in a row that gives us but it is a plenty alright. Gotta hand it to the lifesavers though, always present, ever watchful.

Surf is not too bad though, big and messy at Burleigh but there are definitely some rideable waves out. These shots were taken early, in the rain, and before there was any real light about but overall, it was not too bad out.

A fair bit going on at Snapper, of course the Quickie and Roxy are on. However, way before competition begin there is heaps happening. A lot of crew out and some fairly decent waves rolling in.

If you can get down here and cheer on your faves. The girls are going all day.

Sometimes when you least expected, a loving gesture, or a moment of faith snaps you into reality and you realise the world has wonderful people in it. Along Burliegh you will find wrapped around a tree, a beautiful message of love, it’s really quite personal and it really sinks in. There are photos attached to the message but best you have a look for yourself.

Surf wise, it’s a little messy still, some people out but it’s really only if you are desperate.

Another day, another day of closed beaches, blown out surf, wind swept, corroded beaches, foam and dirty water. Looks like we are heading towards the end of the wet patch though, with a showers still forecast but not to the extreme we have had lately.

The swell is going to pick up a little too over the week and I reckon will be fair by the weekend for the Quicky Pro. One lone surfer out early this morning and if you do happen to venture out over the next few days, be careful of all the debris floating around.

Another dark and dreary morning.
The Bleach festival is about to kick off so hopefully we get a litle ray of sunshine. There will be heaps of things to do for the family so if you do get the chance pop on down and have a look around. Bring a brolly just in case. I hear Saturday will be ok (maybe) but then the wetstuff will reappear.

Don’t forget Surfers has the sand sculptures too.

Narrowneck this Morning was not holding up too well. Scarping occurring all along the beachfront, debris all over, piles of Blue Bottles and the surf was just an absolute mess, as to be expected. Scarping means to cut or erode (a slope or hillside) so that it becomes steep, perpendicular, or precipitous (Googled). With this low we have passing over the coast, we are expecting some more rain today, but tomorrow we can expect alot more as the second part of the system passes by.
